About the Union
On 19th April 1994, the Union of Czech Spirit's Producers was founded by the most important Czech spirits producers with the aim of promoting and defending common interests and to represent the members to external entities inland and abroad.
As of 1st January 2011, the Union was strengthened significantly, as the three most important importers of spirits, Brown-Forman, Remy Cointreau, and Global Spirits also joined the Union, which resulted it a change of name to the Union of Producers and Importers of Spirits of the Czech Republic.
Praha, 17. března 2026 – Minulá vláda Petra Fialy si od opakovaného zvyšování spotřební daně z lihu slibovala vyšší příjmy do státního rozpočtu.
Praha, 22. ledna 2026 – Jednorázové kampaně typu „Suchý únor“ mohou veřejnost upozornit na rizika nadměrné konzumace alkoholu, samy o sobě však problém rizikového pití neřeší.
Praha, 6. srpna 2025 – Česko vydalo řadu regulačních opatření, která nejsou dodržována. Navzdory tomu stát vymýšlí další, jež do přeregulované společnosti nic nepřinesou.

The Pij s rozumem (Drink responsibly) project is an initiative of members of the Union of Producers and Importers of Spirits, which aims to promote the responsible use of alcoholic beverages.
The response of a young person’s body to alcohol is much worse than that of an adult. Making your own opinion is the right thing to do, but it is not always necessary to try everything for yourself. One can learn a lot from shared experience before starting to collect their own.
